Since launching Startup Build Credits, we've heard the same questions from founders. Fair questions — so here are straight answers.
Is it equity? Is it a loan?
Neither. They're credits — applied toward build work with the studio. Not a cash investment, not debt, no repayment schedule. The name says what it is.
How much are we talking about?
Up to $5,000 in build credits. The current offers are detailed on the program page — amounts and what's included are stated there, not summarized here, because they're the kind of thing that should be read in full.
What can I use the credits for?
Building. Product planning, design, engineering — the work of turning your idea into something real, done with the studio's team.
Who should apply?
Founders who are serious about building something. You don't need a deck, a team, or traction — you need an idea you've thought through and the commitment to work on it. If that's you, you're who the program is for.
What does the application involve?
A short form. We ask about your idea and where you are with it — that's it. We'd rather spend our time building with founders than reading long applications.
What happens after I apply?
We review every application. If it's a fit, we talk — about the idea, the work involved, and how the credits would apply. If it's not a fit, we'll tell you plainly rather than leave you guessing.
Is there a catch?
The honest version: the credits amplify founders who are already moving. They don't replace the work, and they aren't free money for your runway. If you want a team to build with — not for — you, apply here.
